After about ten minutes, the lamps were turned off, but she was not aware because she was so relaxed she’d dozed off, she’ felt the warmth all around, even on her neck although her head was against the small rest that Jacqui had placed there, a very cleverly designed set-up Em thought when she was awake, the lamps were gone and she was next aware of a cold sensation on her ear-lobes and then a short, sharp sting on both at one time, administered by Jacqui and Sammy, from both sides (they’d wiped her lobes with alcohol and pierced them, leaving smallish gold studs in them).The chair was placed back again in a reclining position and another young girl entered the room, she bowed to Em and then started with Sammy to take her hands and place them onto little trays (by now clipped onto the armrests)they rubbed a soft cream into her hands massaging them and then manicuring them, finally adding an identical bright orange/red varnish to them, that Em already used.
