What she would never know, was that Louis had a fascination for natural medicines, plants and herbs and had trained in naturopathy in France and Tahiti for a few years taking a partial break from hairdressing ,oh sure he kept his hand in whilst there for extra pocket money, not that he really needed it mind you, he came from a very wealthy entrepreneurial French family, steeped in the arts of natural beauty and aesthetics and had an excellent business background dating back nearly three hundred years. After returning to France and marrying Jacqui, (who he’d met many years before at the ‘Academy ‘e Salon de’ Coiffure, pour Excellence’ in Paris where they’d both worked for some years and graduated from, with honours), they returned to Tahiti then the Bahamas to continue their research for a further five years and opened a very successful chain of (hair) ‘Cutting Cottages’ there before an opportunity presented itself in this part of Australia, to where they finally emigrated.
Although above all else, both expert precision haircutters, Louis and Jacqui’s combined fascination lay in natural as opposed to chemical long term colouring and curling solutions, as well as natural makeup pigments, which they’d also learned in Tahiti.
